FUNDS RAISED BENEFIT SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Fred Olds Elementary Parent Teacher Association will host its annual Spring Fling carnival on May 11, 2012 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. The community is invited to attend. The carnival will feature games and activities for all ages, including a bouncy slide, a dunking booth, a real fire truck, a sports area, an arts & crafts area, a bake sale and lots of delicious food.

One of the highlights of the evening is the silent auction, which features many wonderful items and is a major fundraiser for the school.  This year’s offerings will include One-day Park Hopper Passes to Walt Disney World for four people, tickets to Carowinds, an overnight stay at the Umstead Hotel with breakfast at Herons Restaurant, activities in New York City, an American Girl doll, Lily Pulitzer/Palm Avenue accessories, original art work by local artists and more.

Proceeds from the event provide support for essential programs funded by the Parent Teacher Association at Fred Olds Elementary, including the Science Fair, the Spelling Bee, Advanced Reader programs, classroom technology, software, cultural arts programs, and classroom supplies.

For more information, please contact Holly Mitchko, Spring Fling Co-Chair at Hollygmitchko@mac.com or call 404-895-1043.
